Fairbanks, Alaska
Fairbanks, Alaska was named for the twenty-sixth Vice President of the United Sates, Charles Warren Fairbanks. In 1989, as a Senator from Indiana, Mr. Fairbanks became a member of the United States and British Joint High Commission. As a member of this governing body Senator Fairbanks dealt with pressing issues of the day, such as Alaska’s boundary disputes.
