Questionnaire
1
What is your favorite word to describe Toronto?

Toronto is a goldmine; made up of an incredibly diverse culinary, music and fashion scene. Once you veer off the beaten path juuust slightly, that's where all our city's little gems await.

2
What word best reflects the people of Toronto?

Vagabonds, ha! One hood is simultaneously the best and worst place to live/party. Two weeks later, clever arts fest programming or sh*tty condo construction can change the it-spot to a ghost town. Our once quaint city is growing up mad fast.

3
What is the most creative, spiritual or emotional place in Toronto?

The Parkdale-Ossington strip is fantastically creative by day. In the evenings, the connections and conversations that I've had in that neck of the woods were truly life changing over the past couple of years. There are phenomenal tea rituals and craft beer explosions over there, so, that helps.

4
What is your favorite outdoor activity in Toronto?

Although this isn't terribly grueling, playing catch with a buddy at Harbourfront during Summer Music in the Garden is becoming something of a tradition.

5
What is your favorite indoor activity in Toronto?

Winter is so bloody harsh in Toronto, so playing squash in the Financial District is my bag.

6
What is your favorite sound or noise in Toronto?

The "cuckoo" melody that aids the visually impaired pedestrians at the scramble crossing in Yonge-Dundas Square.

7
What is your favorite smell or taste in Toronto?

High Park, on a damp morning. (Mostly because it reminds me of Seattle, but that's not part of the question.)

8
What drink best reflects Toronto?

Wheatgrass juice. Because we all know it's definitely good for you, but no one is quite sure what quality makes it so damned refreshing.

9
What song or type of music best reflects Toronto?

"Once Again"-Girl Talk.

10
If Heaven were Toronto, what would God say to a visitor when they arrive at the Pearly Gates?

"Nice moves. Let's dance."
